Common uses
Clomiphene is used to stimulate ovulation (the release of an egg) when a woman's ovaries can produce a follicle but hormonal stimulation is deficient.
Clomiphene may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
Before using
Some medical conditions may interact with Serophene . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
• if you are planning to become pregnant or are breast-feeding
• if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
• if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
• if you have depression, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, or uterine fibroids
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Serophene . However, no specific interactions with Serophene are known at this time.
Ask your health care provider if Serophene may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.
Directions
Use Serophene as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
• Take Serophene by mouth with or without food.
• Properly timed sexual intercourse is important for good results. Ovulation usually occurs 5 to 10 days after a dose of Serophene .
• If pregnancy has not been successful after 3 courses of treatment, further treatment is not recommended. Long-term use of Serophene is not recommended.
• If you miss a dose of Serophene , contact your doctor right away.
Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Serophene .
Cautions
Do not take clomiphene without first talking to your doctor if you
• might be pregnant;
• have a thyroid problem or another endocrine disorder;
• have undiagnosed vaginal bleeding;
• have endometriosis or endometrial carcinoma;
• have uterine fibroids;
• have liver disease;
• have ovarian cysts or ovarian enlargement not due to polycystic ovarian syndrome; or
• have any other serious or chronic medical illness.
You may not be able to take clomiphene, or you may require a lower dose or special monitoring if you have any of the conditions listed above.
Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Clomiphene may cause blurred vision or other visual side effects during or shortly after therapy. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop any visual side effects and use caution when performing hazardous activities, especially under conditions of variable lighting.
Possible side effects
Stop taking clomiphene and seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives).
The ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) has been reported to occur in patients receiving clomiphene. Symptoms of OHSS include swelling of the hands or legs, abdominal pain and swelling, shortness of breath, weight gain, and nausea or vomiting. OHSS can be fatal. Notify your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if you develop any of these side effects.
Other side effects may also occur. Notify your doctor if you experience
• ovarian enlargement presenting as abdominal or pelvic pain, tenderness, pressure, or swelling;
• flushing;
• nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
• breast tenderness or discomfort;
• blurred vision or other visual disturbances;
• headache; or
• abnormal uterine bleeding.
Clomiphene may increase the likelihood of multiple births. Multiple births may carry additional risk both for the mother and for the fetuses.
Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.
If you take too much
Seek emergency medical attention.
Symptoms of a clomiphene overdose include nausea, vomiting, flushing, blurred vision, visual spots or flashes, and abdominal pain.

It all started from a quarrel with my friend. We decided to order something online and to check how delivery system works. We chose a distant store and ordered some Cialis tabs. My opinion was that the package would arrive in a couple of weeks and surely in bad condition. What can I say, I was wrong. The envelope looked like if it was just wrapped at the local pharmacy.

I thank you for your excellent services and public relations to your customers. It is my pleasure to recommend your business to my friends and associates. Jorge.

High-Risk Patients and High-Dose Intravenous Immune Globulin
Caution is imperative when high doses of intravenous immune globulin (IVIg) treatment are given to obese patients and to patients with risk factors for thrombosis, say researchers who reported on two cases of thrombotic complications. One patient, with idiopathic thrombo-cytopenic purpura, received 1 g/kg of IVIg per day as a five-hour infusion daily for two [...]
Coxibs Can Go It Alone
Although cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) inhibitors, also called “coxibs,” can be easier on the gastrointestinal system than nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs are, some physicians prefer to err on the side of caution by prescribing a gastroprotective agent (GPA) as well. The coxibs were named after two recently developed anti-inflammatory drugs, canadian celecoxib (Celebrex drug, Pharmacia) and [...]
“Five-in-One” Vaccine Means Fewer Injections

Pediarix™ (GlaxoSmithKline) combines protection, into one injection, against five serious diseases—diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), hepatitis B, and polio. The vaccine is to be given in a three-dose [...]
