Eulexin
Eulexin (FLUTAMIDE) is used along with drugs such as Lupron to treat prostate cancer. Eulexin (FLUTAMIDE) belongs to a class of drugs known as antiandrogens. It blocks the effect of the male hormone testosterone. Giving Eulexin (FLUTAMIDE) with Lupron, which reduces the body's testosterone levels, is one way of treating prostate cancer. For some forms of prostate cancer, radiation therapy is given along with the drugs.

Common uses
This medicine is an anti-androgen used in combination with another medicine to treat prostate cancer.
Before using
Warning: this medicine may cause serious, even life-threatening liver problems. Tell your doctor if you have a history of liver disease. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, fever, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, or unusual fatigue. Laboratory tests (e.g., liver function tests) should be performed before and during use of this drug. Your doctor will be monitoring your treatment closely. Inform your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions or allergies.
Directions
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. This medicine may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. This medicine comes with a patient information leaflet. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include loss of appetite, vomiting, slow breathing, decreased activity, and trouble walking.
