GULFPORT - Two people accused of distributing prescription narcotics to people who didn't need them have been denied bond for a second time by a judge.

A pilot tailed by airborne officers and arrested during a refueling stop in rural East Texas is jailed on nearly two million dollars bond in a drug case.

Renato Hughes Jr., charged with the murder of his two childhood friends, never fired the shots that struck them in the back when the three went to a home in rural Lake County in search of marijuana.

Whether what happened that night was a drug deal gone bad or a botched home burglary is unclear. But this much both the defense and prosecution agree on: The person who pulled the trigger was the homeowner, Shannon Edmonds.
